Matt Damon Reacts to Lousy Opening Week for Palin Documentary

Featured

Most Sarah Palin® fans know Matt Damon. They know him quite wellthank you very much.

You may remember that Matt was one of the first big Hollywood stars to publicly out Sarah Palin as a bonafide political nutjob.

But times have changed. Relentless pounding from right-wing pundits and Jimmy Kimmel has resulted in a Matt Damon who is — by all appearances here — a mere shell of the outspoken political dynamo he once was.

We don’t know Matt personally. But we’ve always thought he must be a super great guy. He is from the Bay State, after all…. Home of a trifecta of American Awesomeness — Paul Revere, the Red Sox, and Dunkin’ Donuts!

Thanks to this clip from his new reality show on OWN, we get an intimate glimpse into the emotional depth and selflessness of Matt Damon.

Here he is, confiding in his therapist — upset that Sarah Palin’s new documentary The Undefeated isn’t doing well at the box office because of something HE did….

Note: Depending on where you work, this may not be suitable for co-worker consumption. Strip Club = OK, Church = Maybe, Daycare Center = Probably Not.

Matt Damon’s selflessness, courage and willingness to share such a poignant personal moment are proof that he is an incredibly generous person — and all around American hero.

The critics and pundits can judge Matt Damon all day long for this. But he has turned us into believers. Matt Damon is living proof that a man can love his country … and love his enemies.

So hang in there, buddy. It gets better!

The Six Most Awesome Scenes from Sarah Palin Documentary ‘The Undefeated’!

Featured

If you are among the more than 100 people who have seen the new Sarah Palin® documentary The Undefeated, you already know how awesome it is.

On Sunday, the Goldman Sachs investment bankers independent filmmakers who created this cinematic masterpiece said audiences were giving “over the top” reactions and standing ovations at shows.

Then they announced a wider release, and God® was not happy. Cue Tropical Storm Bret in the Atlantic.

Palin documentary folks like the film’s director Stephen Bannon claim that response to The Undefeated has been approaching British Invasion levels.  (Evidently, grown men are throwing their black GoldToe® banker socks, plus the obligatory sock garter belts that go with them, at the AMC screens.)

I wanted to see what the fuss was about. What did I learn? The incredible response to The Undefeated is because of these six scenes.

EXCLUSIVE! Behind the Scenes – Palin Campaign HQ and ‘The Undefeated’ Launch Mess

Featured

I feel like I’ve seen this somewhere before, but I’m just no good with remembering foreign films.

(Maybe-not-so) Exclusive to PalinWeek.com!

A behind-the-scenes look at the intricate political chess game that goes on at Palin Campaign HQ. A weak rollout and bad launch timing of Palin’s political documentary ‘The Undefeated’ by Stephen K. Bannon has Palin’s campaign director raging, and then heartbroken because the date coincides with the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. An emotional rollercoaster and stirring look at the right-wing propaganda machine in action.

(Big shout out to my superbad cloven-hoofed mastermind of the original kind Moosehelmet for the Exclusive! Luv ya, babe. Let’s do lunch next week at Claim Jumper or something. Or maybe not).

OK, that’s a stretch.

So here’s some background…. First, the Coen Brothers remade the John Wayne classic True Grit. It won Best Picture went 0-for-10 at the Academy Awards last January, failing miserably as a hapless-political-nobody-turned-inspiring-leader movie swept up multiple shiny little gold statues.

Now documentarian (and former Goldman Sachs investment banker) Stephen Bannon has put together a story of another hapless politician for our limited-engagement moviegoing delight.

Evidently the response for The Undefeated (original long working title: The “Totally Undefeated Reformer’s Documentary”) is so overwhelming and impassioned that we hear AMC is now making moviegoers sign off on the following waiver:

Do not watch The Undefeated — also known as the “TOTALLY UNDEFEATED REFORMER’S DOCUMENTARY”, or The TURD — if you take nitrates for chest pain, as this may cause a sudden, unsafe rise in blood pressure.
